Linda Bruno 50 years service pin

Celebrating milestones is an important aspect of education, as it provides a moment to reflect on the time, effort, and dedication of a staff member to their craft. When it comes to milestones and longevity, there are few quite as impressive as 50 years.

The 2026-2027 school year marks 50 years of service to the Dryden Central School District for High School Business Teacher Mrs. Linda Bruno. Throughout her tenure, Mrs. Bruno has consistently been a model of support, compassion, and dedication. She is a true advocate for her students, and has shaped countless lives in the last 50 years.

Mrs. Bruno began work in the District in 1975 and is a mentor, colleague, and friend to many in our school community. Though the landscape of Business Education has drastically evolved over time, what has remained consistent is Linda’s dedication to her students, colleagues, and community. She has inspired students in her classes to become educators, entrepreneurs, and community advocates, both here in Dryden and elsewhere. She creates a spark and builds capacity and skills in students that are invaluable; no matter where the workforce takes them.

We asked the Dryden community to share some heartfelt memories about Mrs. Bruno to help us celebrate this tremendous milestone:

“Mrs. Bruno is more than just an amazing teacher—she is someone who genuinely cares about her students and wants to see each of them succeed. She made such a positive impact during my school years, and I will always be grateful for the encouragement, kindness, and support she showed me. She was truly the best, and I feel so lucky to have had her as a teacher and role model for as long as I did.”

“She is one of the very best! I think of her often and thank her for teaching me to type, cook and sew. She was gentle in her ways and always had a way of getting through to us. Truly an inspiration!”

“I would not be the business/insurance agency owner I am without her impact in my Dryden experience. I learned to give back from her also, as a regional BUSINESS CTE program council advisor. Thank you Mrs. Bruno, for your service & support, your teachings and knowledge transcend and carry forward!”

“Linda was a huge part of my life and drove me to be successful. She worked with me through some of my learning struggles as a student. She is amazing!”

“The impact she left on her students will never go unrecognized! The joy and dedication she gives every single day for over 50 years is the reason there are so many of us who ended up in a career we never knew we would be in. I am thankful for her and her guidance.”

Thank you for helping us honor the incredible work and legacy of Mrs. Bruno. We are so humbled by her true dedication to #LionPride.
